Dr. Dane Egli, former president of HARP, delivered a keynote at the Virginia Governor's Transportation Conference in the fall of 2018. This gathering of transportation professionals looked at the latest transportation innovations and their possible effects on regional connectivity and economic development.
Egli's presentation was aligned with HARP's mission to advance the development of hyperloop technology, to promote education, and to encourage vital research. In a section on hyperloop's value proposition, Egli noted the potential for this innovation to serve the causes of economic development, productivity, market expansion, multimodal transportation, disaster relief, infrastructure resilience, and national security.
